Tacoma Writer seeks Student Essay Illustrator

Tacoma Writer seeks Student Essay Illustrator

Tacoma essay writer and UW alumni John Draper seeks student to create 2- or 3-color drawings/illustrations for a 7,000-word essay (“an autobiographical humorous essay about losing my virginity when I was 14 back in the 70s”).

John is interested in working with the artist to come up with the best approach for the number of illustrations. The essay is broken into four sections and he thinks each section would have a lead image as well as 1-3 images woven into the copy in each section. And maybe one final image at the end of the essay.

John is looking to fill this opportunity as soon as possible. The timeline for deliverables is flexible, however, with the understanding that students will be balancing both school and this project.

Compensation dependent on conversation and experience, but estimate range of around $2,000 in payment for the project.

If interested, please contact John Draper at jdraper.writer@gmail.com. If possible, a link to portfolio or website is preferred.
