Seattle Met Accepting Applications for Editorial Interns

Seattle Met

Editorial Interns

Seattle Met is seeking smart and resourceful interns for our editorial department, located in Seattle, Washington. We are now accepting applications for our fall internships in all beats, or areas of concentration: News, Food and Drink, the Arts, Style, Wellness, and Travel.

We’re seeking witty writers who shudder at fluffy press release language and bring verve and journalistic rigor to a story about a city council race, or a list of new happy hours. Interns who enjoy finding levity in all things wonky, or tackling seemingly lighthearted topics with intelligence and humor will do especially well here. Yes, these internships involve a lot of fact-checking, but our editors are eager to help talented young writers hone their craft (and get some great clips).

Our editorial interns have gone on to work for Vanity FairPlayboy, Eater Seattle, Chef Steps, TimeThe NationViceCrosscut, Seattle Weekly, The Seattle Times, Bloomberg, and The Stranger. Past interns have also joined Seattle Met and other publications under SagaCity Media.

The internship is paid and lasts six months; we ask for a commitment of 20 hours a week with flexible scheduling.
