UW Alum seeks Studio Assistant

UW alum working towards a large solo exhibition in downtown Seattle in 2027 looking for a Studio Assistant.
Studio Assistant: This position will involve working with wool fibers, procion dyes, fiber dyeing techniques, and tools like trimmers and clippers for leveling/beveling fiber surfaces. Precision will be needed for matching dye batches and creating desired shades for the project, along with detail oriented skills for trimming and beveling. Assistant needs to be physically active and capable of moving 50lb. Must be able to be on their feet for working hours. All materials will be provided. Techniques will be taught where needed.

Looking for 5-7 hrs per week, for 4 months. Possibility of extending hours if there’s a need with project scope. Flexible on start dates, but looking for ideally someone May thru September 2026.
