INTERNSHIP DESCRIPTION:<\/p>\n
Program
\n-Coordinate program registrations, attendance, and artwork submissions.
\n-Assist with exhibit and showcase preparation, including artwork collection, matting, and display.
\n-Attend classes to engage with students, meet professional teaching artists, and engage with our arts programming firsthand.
\n-Lead students on Access Art trips to various performances and tours, tracking attendance and setting a positive example for students to participate.<\/p>\n
Communications
\n-Communicate with students regarding class registration, attendance, Access Art, and exhibit and showcase coordination via phone and email.
\n-Learn and utilize Constant Contact and Mail Chimp for student outreach, and newsletter distribution via email.
\n-Assist with student outreach and program brochure distribution across central Seattle.
\n-Assist with press listings for Path with Art public events and outreach.<\/p>\n
General Administration
\n-Check in with the Program Coordinator every week regarding progress, tasks, feedback, and any concerns or questions.
\n-Assist with organization of files, letters, art inventory and supplies as needed.<\/p>\n

REQUIREMENTS:<\/p>\n
-Must be personable, communicative, and willing to engage with multiple constituencies and groups of people.
\n-Must be skilled in phone conversations and emails.
\n-Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
\n-Must be able to work both independently and collaboratively.
\n-A belief system aligned with Path with Art\u2019s values, vision, and mission.
\n-Strong organizational skills and attentiveness to detail.
\n-Patience and generosity of spirit with individuals of all abilities\/in all life situations.
\n-An expected Bachelors degree in Art History, Arts Administration, Fine Arts, Social Work, Non-Profit Management or other fields closely related.
\n-Reliable transportation with public transit or in a car.
\n-1+ years of administrative experience is preferred.<\/p>\n
COMPENSATION:<\/p>\n
-Work study eligible at $15.00
\n-If not work study eligible, a modest monthly stipend and transportation \u2028allowance aligned with agreed upon number of hour is possible<\/p>\n
How to Apply<\/p>\n
The intern must make a commitment of a minimum of 3 months and maximum of a year dependent on school internship requirements. The average weekly time commitment will be 10-20 hours per week. Preferred schedule is weekdays between the hours of 10:00am- 2:00pm but can be flexible.
