The Archives department is currently seeking a Press Archivist. The Archives provides sales directors with the research and materials they need to facilitate the sale of artworks and the curating of exhibitions. The Press Archivist is responsible for press capture, preservation and distribution, rights and reproductions, and is involved in various aspects of catalogue production and e-communication design, including social media outreach.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities: <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>-Monitor press on galleries, artists, and exhibitions<\/p>\n<p>-Maintain digital and physical archives<\/p>\n<p>-Disseminate press internally to relevant staff members and externally on gallery websites and social media<\/p>\n<p>-Maintain artist biographies on gallery website, databases, exhibitions catalogues<\/p>\n<p>-Facilitate press inquiries and rights and reproduction requests<br \/>\n-Participate in catalogue production Maintain subscriptions (auction catalogues, newspapers, magazines, etc.)<\/p>\n<p>-Maintain and creatively grow the gallery&#8217;s social media presence<\/p>\n<p>-General research and special projects as needed<\/p>\n<p>-Maintain gallery mailing lists<\/p>\n<p><strong>Requirements\/ desired qualifications: <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>-Bachelor\u2019s degree required. \u00a0Advanced degree preferred.<\/p>\n<p>-A knowledge and passion for contemporary art.<\/p>\n<p>-Comfort with the following software: MS Office: Word, Outlook, Excel (and Mac equivalents), Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat Pro, Art Systems.
