The Microsoft Storytelling Summit is a (4)- day interactive exhibit showcasing the latest stories on cutting-edge immersive technologies like virtual and augmented reality.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Exhibit dates:<\/strong>\u00a0May 22nd through May 25th, 2018.<\/p>\n<p><strong>About the Future of StoryTelling (FoST<\/strong>): FoST is a passionate, creative community of people from the worlds of media, technology, and communications who are exploring how storytelling is evolving in the digital age<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2016\/10\/02\/nyregion\/storytelling-in-the-virtual-age-at-fost-fest.html?_r=0\">. The New York Times<\/a>\u00a0describes FoST as \u201ca TED-type conference for a hipper, new-media crowd.\u201d\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.forbes.com\/forbes\/welcome\/?toURL=https:\/\/www.forbes.com\/sites\/stevenrosenbaum\/2016\/10\/10\/immersively-engaged-the-future-of-storytelling-festival\/&amp;refURL=&amp;referrer=#238270fd2131\">Forbes<\/a>\u00a0noted \u201c(i)t\u2019s hard to imagine how they\u2019ll top it next year, but I certainly wouldn\u2019t want to miss finding out.\u201d\u00a0<em>The Creators Project\u00a0<\/em>had our personal favorite headline,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/creators.vice.com\/en_us\/article\/d74nya\/future-storytelling-inaugural-festival-vr\">\u201cWe\u2019ve Seen the Future of Storytelling, and It\u2019s Fucking Awesome.\u201d<\/a>\u00a0The Summit was also recently named one of the \u201c10 Most Innovative Conferences\u201d by\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.inc.com\/michael-schein\/10-most-innovative-conferences-of-2016.html\">Inc. magazine<\/a>, and one of \u201c7 Emerging Conferences Every Ad Exec Should Know About\u201d by\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.adweek.com\/agencies\/7-emerging-conferences-every-advertising-professional-should-consider-attending-175311\/\">Adweek<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>For more information about FoST go to:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/futureofstorytelling.org\/\">https:\/\/futureofstorytelling.org<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Participate in training for the proper use of equipment.<\/li>\n<li>Assist, where needed, in helping patrons properly put on, adjust, and remove equipment, as well as sanitizing certain components in between patron use.<\/li>\n<li>Provide patrons with instruction for how to properly use digital equipment or media.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain and restock activity materials.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain a waitlist if necessary.<\/li>\n<li>Assist FoST staff in maintaining a safe environment in and around installations.<\/li>\n<li>Supervise space and equipment to avoid theft, loss, and avoidable damage.<\/li>\n<li>Relay technical or patron-related issues to FoST staff.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Position Requirements:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>An interest in immersive experiences including Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, Interactive Film, etc.<\/li>\n<li>Strong interpersonal, communications, and customer service skills.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work independently and in a small team environment.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to handle high-stress situations and problem solve.<\/li>\n<li>Willingness to wear a staff shirt.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Awesome if you\u2019ve worked with a Vive, Oculus Gear VR, Google Daydream, or SubPac.
