This position will support our Studio Manager to conduct a broad range of tasks related to <strong>storage, production and distribution<\/strong> of Eighth Generation products.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Position Basics<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>$14 per hour starting wage<\/li>\n<li>Seattle (SODO)\u00a0location<\/li>\n<li>20 \u2013 40 hours per week<\/li>\n<li>Negotiable hours<\/li>\n<li>Starts ASAP<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Position Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Maintain orderly and safe work environment<\/li>\n<li>Assemble product components to high efficiency and quality standards<\/li>\n<li>Pack and ship orders<\/li>\n<li>Operate various computer based machines and equipment (training provided)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Job Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ability to work independently for long periods of time.<\/li>\n<li>Hand dexterity to assemble phone case and jewelry components<\/li>\n<li>Ability to follow safety protocol<\/li>\n<li>Ability to operate a pallet jack<\/li>\n<li>Ability to efficiently organize work space<\/li>\n<li>Experience in producing art is a plus<\/li>\n<li>Ability to regularly lift 25+ pound boxes, and 50+ as needed<\/li>\n<li>Strong general awareness of the Native experience<\/li>\n<li>Understanding of Eighth Generation values and business practices<\/li>\n<li>Ability to learn basics of programs such as Adobe Illustrator and Shipping\/Receiving apps.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to pass a background check<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>How to Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Send Resume and Statement of Interest to <a href=\"mailto:info@eighthgeneration.com\">info@eighthgeneration.com<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Open until filled<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Eighth Generation, the first Native-owned company to offer wool blankets, is searching for a self-starter with a general awareness of the Native experience, history and art to work at the Eighth Generation studio in Seattle\u2019s International District.
