Path with Art<\/a> transforms the lives of people recovering from homelessness, addiction, and other trauma by harnessing the power of creative engagement as a bridge to community and a path to stability.<\/p>\n

We have an upcoming volunteer opportunity for the community that I think would be great to offer to the Summer term art students. The organization is willing to sign any paperwork that students need for mandatory volunteer hours as well. This project surrounds a previous program with Path with Art titled,\u00a0Hear and Now<\/i>\u00a0a collaboration with McArthur genius award winner Trimpin and Path with Art artists. DROP-IN ART PARTY<\/strong>
\nA weekend\u00a0full of art, music, food, and community.<\/strong><\/h3>\n

August 17th & 18th, 10am-6pm
\n300 Dexter\u00a0Avenue North<\/strong><\/p>\n

Drop in for an hour, or stay all day on August 17th and 18th. Collaborate, design, and build a structure to shelter\u00a0Hear & Now<\/a><\/em>\u00a0 while it is unhoused and on display at the\u00a0Seattle Design Festival Block Party<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Teaching Artists Devon Hale and Olivia Turner will be on hand to guide the process. An extension of a 2017 collaboration between PwA and MacArthur Genius Award winner, Trimpin, this weekend-long workshop aims to explore perceptions of homelessness through design around the theme, balance. This opportunity to explore and create is available to EVERYONE. ALL are welcome! All ages, and level of artistic experience are encouraged to join.\u00a0RSVP encouraged<\/a>, but not required.<\/p>\n
