Artist Trust is recognized as a national model for direct funding and professional development of working artists and has invested over $10 million in individual artists throughout the state since its inception in 1986.<\/p>\n<p>Internship Summary:<\/p>\n<p>The Programs Intern provides support on Artist Trust\u2019s 5 grant programs for Washington State artists as well as AT\u2019s professional development programming for artists. The intern will assist with grant selection panels, provide administrative support on grant and public programs, and help maintain artist data as well as the Artist Trust website. Through skill-building at the Artist Trust office and in the community, the Programs Intern will gain valuable experience working on the programming team of an artist-supporting organization.<\/p>\n<p>The responsibilities, benefits, and required skills and qualifications for this internship include: Responsibilities<\/p>\n<p>\uf0b7 Assist with grant selection panel preparation and day-of coordination (see required dates below);<\/p>\n<p>\uf0b7 Ensure that grant applicant\u2019s eligibility and work samples comply with grant guidelines;<\/p>\n<p>\uf0b7 Assist with Artist Trust website content updates;<\/p>\n<p>\uf0b7 Act as an on-site AT liaison at Seattle-based artist programs (please note: this requires some evening and weekend availability, the schedule for which is set at least six weeks in advance);<\/p>\n<p>\uf0b7 Prepare materials for artist programs;<\/p>\n<p>\uf0b7 Help steward artists during Office Hours;<\/p>\n<p>\uf0b7 Process submissions to the Artist Trust Opportunities page<\/p>\n<p>\uf0b7 Create visuals for grant recipient presentations to the AT board of directors;<\/p>\n<p>\uf0b7 Assist with pre-application and post-panel feedback to artists;<\/p>\n<p>\uf0b7 Provide support for events;<\/p>\n<p>\uf0b7 Other special projects as assigned.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Benefits<\/p>\n<p>\uf0b7 Build skills and knowledge of arts administration;<\/p>\n<p>\uf0b7 Learn what makes a successful grant application and observe the full cycle of grantmaking; \uf0b7 Exposure to the ins and outs of running statewide arts programs;<\/p>\n<p>\uf0b7 Networking opportunities in the arts and nonprofit sector;<\/p>\n<p>\uf0b7 Gain experience with Salesforce, WordPress, Submittable, and Adobe programs; \uf0b7 Access to Artist Trust programs, workshops, and events when space is available<\/p>\n<p>\uf0b7 Work with a knowledgeable and ambitious team of nonprofit professionals;<\/p>\n<p>\uf0b7 A letter of recommendation \/ reference upon successful completion of the internship.<\/p>\n<p>To Apply \u2013 preference given to applications received by December 9, 2019, and applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.
