As an Industrial Design Intern in the AR\/VR team, you will be a part of the team tasked with bringing the next generation hardware and experiences to life. You bring problem solving and hands-on design skills to assist the team in creating delightful, holistically considered products. You are well-versed in the design process, have a solid foundation of technical skills, and are comfortable working in a fast-paced collaborative environment.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n<section class=\"_4gsw _7of _7p0 _7u9s _7u9p\">\n<div class=\"_7p2\">\n<div class=\"_2h23 _1020 _2h24 _4k1j _4k1w\">\n<h5 class=\"_2e90 _2e92 _2e98\">Responsibilities<\/h5>\n<ul class=\"_3e2_ _1ewa _1g4e\">\n<li>Assist in the design of category-defining products, helping Oculus\/Portal\/Facebook change the world through design.<\/li>\n<li>Help create the visual and physical language of our brand through the design of our hardware.<\/li>\n<li>Utilize user-centric thinking and aesthetic sensibility to align our brand to customer needs.<\/li>\n<li>Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams on complex technical programs in a fast-paced environment.<\/li>\n<li>Conceive elegant, effective ways to address ergonomic and mechanical challenges.<\/li>\n<li>Contribute concepts and problem solving across multiple projects.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n<section class=\"_4gsw _7of _7p0 _7u9s _7u9p\">\n<div class=\"_7p2\">\n<div class=\"_2h23 _1020 _2h24 _4k1j _4k1w\">\n<h5 class=\"_2e90 _2e92 _2e98\">Minimum Qualifications<\/h5>\n<ul class=\"_3e2_ _1ewa _1g4e\">\n<li>Must obtain work authorization in the country of employment at the time of hire and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment.<\/li>\n<li>Interest in designing consumer electronics or wearable tech products.<\/li>\n<li>Experience exploring and refining ideas through sketching and hands-on physical prototyping.<\/li>\n<li>Fluent in a 3D CAD modeling program (Rhino, Alias, SolidWorks, ProE, or NX).<\/li>\n<li>Experience with 3D rendering software for visual communication (Keyshot, VRay, or Modo).<\/li>\n<li>Experience solving problems in a collaborative team environment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n<section class=\"_4gsw _7of _7p0 _7u9s _7u9p\">\n<div class=\"_7p2\">\n<div class=\"_2h23 _1020 _2h24 _4k1j _4k1w\">\n<h5 class=\"_2e90 _2e92 _2e98\">Preferred Qualifications<\/h5>\n<ul class=\"_3e2_ _1ewa _1g4e\">\n<li>Intent to return to degree-program after the completion of the internship\/co-op.<\/li>\n<li>Currently has, or is in process of, obtaining a Bachelors or Masters degree in Industrial Design or a related field.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n<div><\/div>\n<div class=\"_7p2\">For more information and to apply\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.oculus.com\/careers\/a1K2K000007rfjfUAA\/\"><strong>here<\/strong><\/a>.<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Facebook\u2019s AR\/VR team is shaping the future of consumer electronics in the emerging Augmented and Virtual Reality industries and the game-changing Portal products.
