CoCA, Seattle\u2019s Center on Contemporary Art, has proudly served the Pacific
\nNorthwest as a catalyst & forum for contemporary art for 39 years. Our nonprofit
\nart gallery is in Pioneer Square. We are seeking an Intern for an exciting role in
\nsupport of our Board & Admin operations.<\/p>\n
Our Board\/ Admin Intern will learn the art of nonprofit Board communications &
\nadministration working alongside our Executive Director and our Board of
\nDirectors. Internship length is 6-12 months. Time commitment is 10 hours
\nweekly plus 3 gallery docent\/ event shifts monthly. Some scheduling flexibility is
\navailable. Immerse yourself in the Seattle art community as you gain valuable
\nskills as a CoCA Intern.<\/p>\n
CoCA\u2019s Board\/ Admin Intern will learn new skills in a supportive, dynamic, and
\ndiverse environment. We will teach you about nonprofit Board of Directors work
\nincluding taking meeting minutes, setting action items, completing special Board
\nprojects, organizing information, and working with our databases. All CoCA
\nInterns meet amazing local artists, curators, and art lovers. The ideal CoCA
\nBoard\/ Admin Intern is organized, accountable, inclusive, passionate about the
\nart world, and invested in learning great communication.<\/p>\n
Although this is an uncompensated role, school credit, CoCA Membership, letters
\nof recommendation & numerous other benefits are available. CoCA Interns
\nreceive hands-on, project-based experience and mentoring, the opportunity to
\nmeet local art professionals, and a flexible work schedule.<\/p>\n
