Did you just find out copywriting is a thing people can do for money? Do you want to learn how to combine both of those things over the course of a three-month transformative learning experience? Also, sometimes there\u2019s free backpacks.<\/li>\n<li>12-week program<\/li>\n<li>Paid internship (no college credit)<\/li>\n<li>The team will be given a real project focused on one of REI\u2019s core values. They will own it from concept to execution working closely with our in-house creatives and creative directors.<\/li>\n<li>As an intern, you will get hands-on experience by supporting our in-house creatives on everything from our campaigns to experiences.<\/li>\n<li>Learn why a life outdoors is a life well lived. There will be plenty of opportunities throughout the summer to get outside and enjoy the long days and amazing weather but not get sunburned.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div><span style=\"color: #333333; font-family: Helvetica Neue, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div><span style=\"color: #333333; font-family: Helvetica Neue, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif;\"><strong><u>Copywriting Internship Requirements:<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"color: #333333; font-family: Helvetica Neue, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif;\"><u>\u00a0<\/u><\/span><\/div>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>Current student or recent graduate with a focus in advertising, marketing, communications, journalism or English. Maybe even one of those nontraditional degrees where you get teacher evaluations instead of grades.<\/li>\n<li>Copywriting portfolio demonstrating strategic thinking and skills across print, digital, social &amp; video. (Fake ads, real thinking)<\/li>\n<li>Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with quick deadlines.<\/li>\n<li>Impeccable communication skills\u2014you\u2019ll have to talk through and explain your work.<\/li>\n<li>Desire to create something awesome<\/li>\n<li>Team player and collaborative.<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with Adobe InDesign or willingness to become familiar with Adobe InDesign.<\/li>\n<li>Bonus: Expert in Adobe CS programs\u2014Photoshop, Illustrator and After E\ufb00ects<\/li>\n<li>You don\u2019t hate going outside.<\/li>\n<li>Bonus: knowledge of outdoor slang terms like breakfast burrito or sleeping bag<\/li>\n<li>Bonus: You have a friend named Leif<\/li>\n<li>Bonus: You have one of those tattoos of a big tree<\/li>\n<li>Bonus: You\u2019re from somewhere cool like Alaska or Texas<\/li>\n<li>Bonus: Your mom wants you to be a doctor<\/li>\n<li>No littering<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div><span style=\"color: #333333; font-family: Helvetica Neue, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div><strong><u>Design\/Art Director Internship Overview:<\/u><\/strong><\/div>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>12-week program<\/li>\n<li>Paid internship (no college credit)<\/li>\n<li>Outdoorsy creatives who want to get better and do good at the same time. (You don\u2019t actually have to be outdoorsy. But you can\u2019t be a litterbug.) Aspiring designers and art directors who want to learn from experts in design, design systems, marketing strategy and other design-y things.
