It is understandable to feel overwhelmed \u2013with trepidation, grief, loneliness, exhaustion, and more common, the muted desperation of having all sense of normalcy evaporate. We at\u00a0<em>Capillaries: The Journal of Narrative Medicine<\/em>\u00a0believe that writing and art has real power now, more than ever, to help us unpack our thoughts.\u00a0Thus, we offer our journal to you, as a space to decompress and reflect on personal, community, national, and global issues.<\/p>\n<p><em>Capillaries\u00a0<\/em>is a student-run project at the University of Washington. Since February 2018, our mission has been to provide the UW community (students, staff, and faculty) with the opportunity to\u00a0reflect on experiences with medicine, healing, illness, and\/or grief through prose, poetry, and artwork.
