Our employees enjoy an environment that inspires creativity while being part of a collaborative community.<\/p>\n<p>Digital Designer (Seattle, WA)<\/p>\n<p>Staff Position \u2013 Classification: Salary\/Exempt<\/p>\n<p>Full-Time (40 hours per week)<\/p>\n<p>Work Schedule does not include school breaks or observed holidays.<\/p>\n<p>This position is eligible to participate in the group health plans and retirement plan.<br \/>\nThis position requires applicants to be, at the time of application, legally authorized to work in the United States. The Bush School does not offer visa sponsorship for this position and will not consider applicants who require visa sponsorship.<br \/>\nThe Bush School is in search of an individual to join our Communications Team as a Digital Designer. We are seeking a candidate who is able to support the school\u2019s mission of diversity and inclusion and who has a background that demonstrates an understanding and appreciation of intercultural fluency.<\/p>\n<p>The Digital Designer position contributes to an integrated internal and external marketing and communications program that supports the school\u2019s mission and strategic goals. This position reports to the Director of Enrollment Management and Communications and joins a team that also includes the Communications Manager and Admissions and Communications Coordinator who together foster a culture of customer service, developing collaborative constituent partnerships across campus.<\/p>\n<p>The Digital Designer is a creative position focused on enhancing the digital presence of The Bush School through the school\u2019s website, graphic design, and video. We are looking for an experienced and creative individual who is interested in having a big impact as part of a smaller team, working on both the technical and artistic side of digital communications.<\/p>\n<p><strong>While other duties may be assigned, a qualified candidate will be able to manage the key responsibilities and tasks listed below:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Web Specialist<\/strong><br \/>\nResponsible for maintaining and updating the school\u2019s website, adding new pages and functionality as needed, working with key website contributors from each school department and division, troubleshooting website and user issues;<br \/>\nWorks to elevate the school\u2019s online presence by implementing web-based digital marketing;<br \/>\nServes as the project lead for redesigning the school\u2019s website.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Graphic Design<\/strong><br \/>\nServes as the school\u2019s primary graphic designer, working to craft compelling visual storytelling;<br \/>\nDesigns and manages the school\u2019s visual communications, graphic design elements, and brand elements for print, digital, and social platforms;<br \/>\nSupports the school\u2019s annual alumni magazine and annual report processes.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Video<\/strong><br \/>\nLeads the brainstorming, scripting, and production of fun, authentic, smart videos to elevate the school\u2019s brand;<br \/>\nShoots and edits video segments for use on the website and digital marketing;<br \/>\nFilms or coordinates the filming of school events like Convocation, State of the School, Commencement, and other major school events or performances;<br \/>\nManages and organizes the school\u2019s YouTube and Vimeo channel, other digital media outlets, and branding videos for accessibility and maximum impact.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Together the communications team support four key constituencies:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>head of school and board of trustees<br \/>\ndevelopment and alumni relations<br \/>\nadmissions and enrollment management<br \/>\ninternal affairs (administrative group, divisions, departments, families association, and athletics)<\/p>\n<p>The Communications Team is a critical part of The Bush School\u2019s advancement team. The advancement team is made up of the communications, development, and admissions staff. Together they serve to advance the mission of The Bush School through an integrated method of managing relationships and communications among The Bush School\u2019s key constituents.<\/p>\n<p>The Communications Team also partners closely with the director of technology, database manager, and staff of the technology department.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Required Education and Experience:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Bachelor\u2019s degree in a related field (for example: public relations, communications, graphic design, or marketing field)<br \/>\nProfessional experience in the execution of web design, graphic design, and\/or video<br \/>\nAbility to coordinate and support various teams toward the completion of shared projects, with a focus on exemplary customer service, effective communication, timelines, and common goals<br \/>\nBeing knowledgeable in the use of digital media, web asset creation, desktop publishing software, and content management systems (Google Apps, Adobe Creative Suite, Blackbaud\/Whipple Hill or comparable website CMS systems, iMovie or other video editing software)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Successful candidates will:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Be collaborative and thrive in environments that approach work with a team focus<br \/>\nPossess a philosophy that aligns with the school\u2019s mission and values \u2013 please review the school\u2019s mission and values on our school website (bush.edu)<br \/>\nCommunicate clearly and effectively (verbally and in writing) with others, including: administrators, faculty, staff, vendors, students and parents\/guardians, in order to maintain professional relationships<br \/>\nComplete work in a timely and thorough manner and be conscientious about job expectations<br \/>\nBe a team player, self-starter, and independent worker who is highly organized with attention to detail<br \/>\nPossess a willingness to work flexible hours in peak times, in order to complete a project, or on nights and weekends as needed for events;<br \/>\nEnjoy working in a school environment<br \/>\nBe willing to assume additional responsibilities, as required.<br \/>\nBe certified (or willing to be certified) in Adult and Children First Aid, CPR and AED<\/p>\n<h5><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bush.edu\/about-bush\/employment#op-407104-digital-designer\">For full listing and to apply, click here<\/a><\/h5>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Bush School seeks Digital Designer Location: Seattle, Washington, United States FULL-TIME The Bush School is dedicated to valuing different perspectives and backgrounds, inspiring curiosity, motivating employees to take risks, and encouraging compassion and kindness.
