The Public Programming Intern will be integral to continuing BES\u2019 streamlined back-end work while enhancing BES\u2019 front-facing profile across the University of Washington, Seattle, regionally, and nationally.<\/p>\n<p>The Intern should have an interest in contemporary art, an extreme attention to detail, experience in project management, and a facility with having conversations about racial blackness and interfacing with diverse communities. Familiarity with, interest in, and ease with print and\/or web design is a major plus.<\/p>\n<p>The position is 40 hours per quarter for three consecutive quarters, and pays $3,000 total. The intern will work with the Director of The Black Embodiments Studio, Kemi Adeyemi, and will regularly interface with the Director of the Jacob Lawrence Gallery, Emily Zimmerman. Additional hours with and duties completed for the Gallery itself are also available.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Duties should BES be all-online:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Jacob Lawrence Gallery Library Initiative<\/strong><br \/>\nThe small Library is working in conjunction with BES to increase its holdings of arts publications concerning Black artists.
