Apply for this paid internship working in the North of 45<sup>th\u00a0<\/sup>Community.\u00a0Husky Neighborhood Interns (HNIs) work on projects to improve public safety, promote civility and foster a greater sense of community for the students and permanent residents living north of campus.<\/p>\n<h1>Compensation<\/h1>\n<p>Compensation will be $13-$15 an hour with a maximum of 7-10 hours per week .\u00a0 Students must be able to work in the United States.<\/p>\n<h1>Time Commitment<\/h1>\n<p>Must be able to attend two days of training in late September before classes start.<br \/>\nMust be able to attend weekly staff meetings and North of 45<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0Committee Quarterly meetings.<\/p>\n<h1>Desired Qualifications<\/h1>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Strong verbal and written communications skills.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Outstanding organization and time management skills.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Ability to manage projects and provide leadership.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Ability to work independently to accomplish tasks and take initiative.<\/p>\n<h1>How to Apply<\/h1>\n<p>Please send a resume and cover letter addressing\u00a0why you would like to work in the North of 45<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0area\u00a0and\u00a0what issues or concerns do you see facing this community\u00a0to Community Standards and Student Conduct at\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:huskyn45@uw.edu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">huskyn45@uw.edu<\/a>\u00a0by 11:59 pm on\u00a0May 8, 2016.\u00a0 Interviews will be scheduled on a rolling basis after we receive resumes and cover letters.<\/p>\n<p>For a more detailed job description and to learn more about the HNI program check out\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.washington.edu\/cssc\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">www.washington.edu\/cssc<\/a><\/p>\n<p>ELIZABETH A.
