This is a contract position at 32 hours a week with a duration of approximately 9 months.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Social Media and Online Marketing<br \/>\n\u25cf Manage all social media platforms and respond to all inquiries<br \/>\n\u25cf Identify key topics, hashtags, influencers, institutions, or individuals to follow and post to increase NAAM\u2019s visibility and online presence<br \/>\n\u25cf Design weekly email marketing campaigns that will increase the number of newsletter subscribers and inspire them to action<br \/>\n\u25cf Report social media metrics to the External Affairs Director and collaboratively develop and implement new tactics to increase NAAM\u2019s brand awareness<\/p>\n<p>Events, Initiatives, Exhibitions, and Programs<br \/>\n\u25cf Develop all physical and digital materials, outsourcing when necessary<br \/>\n\u25cf Execute marketing rollout plans<br \/>\n\u25cf Compose press materials in advance<br \/>\n\u25cf Manage and provide expertise for digital media events, e.g. video streaming and audio<\/p>\n<p>Internal Support<br \/>\n\u25cf Keep all media assets current, e.g. photos and logos<br \/>\n\u25cf Collaborate across internal teams to ensure proper branding and look for all NAAM communications and marketing<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ideal Candidate<\/strong><br \/>\n\u25cf One to two years of experience with web design, web development, CRO and SEO. Experience with Squarespace is desired.<br \/>\n\u25cf Content design experience<br \/>\n\u25cf Understanding of digital media and production<br \/>\n\u25cf Passion for and understanding of the museum\u2019s mission, vision and values<br \/>\n\u25cf Possess strong written and verbal communication skills<br \/>\n\u25cf Excellent at managing multiple projects, setting priorities, and pivoting quickly<br \/>\n\u25cf Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and follow through<br \/>\n\u25cf Able to maintain confidentiality<br \/>\n\u25cf Demonstrated knowledge in graphic\/flyer design<br \/>\n\u25cf Ability to work independently and collaborate with multiple teams<\/p>\n<p><strong>Minimum Requirements<\/strong><br \/>\n\u25cf Bachelor&#8217;s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field from an accredited college or university<br \/>\n\u25cf Proven track record in social media marketing and\/or digital media specialist.<br \/>\n\u25cf Experience with digital video content production.<br \/>\n\u25cf Excellent writing, editing (photo\/video\/text), presentation, and communication skills.<br \/>\n\u25cf Experience with software and social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Canva, and Google Workspace<br \/>\n\u25cf Knowledge of online marketing and an understanding of major marketing channels<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application period for this vacancy:<\/strong> The role will remain open until filled.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Salary:<\/strong> The hourly salary range for this role is $30 &#8211; $35.<\/p>\n<p>To apply for this professional opportunity, submit your resume and statement of intent explaining why you want to work with NAAM (cover letter): <a href=\"mailto:HR@naamnw.org\">HR@naamnw.org<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>About NAAM<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Northwest African American Museum (NAAM) is a regionally-prestigious institution that deeply matters to people as a reliable, remarkable, and relevant space where we open minds and change lives through African American history, art, and culture.
