Guggenheim Museum is currently accepting applications for\u00a0remote\u00a0spring\u00a02022\u00a0internships in\u00a0departments\u00a0across the institution. The\u00a0spring\u00a02022\u00a0Internship Program will begin on\u00a0Monday,\u00a0February 7\u00a0and end on Friday,\u00a0April 15. Spring\u00a0internships\u00a0require a commitment of 20 hours\u00a0per week\u00a0for the full ten weeks, including attendance at\u00a0Museum Culture Seminars\u00a0(MCS).\u00a0The\u00a0experience\u00a0will be completely\u00a0virtual. No onsite work at the museum or its offices is expected.<br \/>\nRemote\u00a0spring\u00a02022\u00a0internships\u00a0are\u00a0paid opportunities.\u00a0We are pleased to offer\u00a0a\u00a0stipend in the amount of\u00a0$3,000\u00a0to\u00a0each\u00a0intern for full\u00a0participation in the program.<br \/>\n<strong>Internship Program Description\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The objective of the Guggenheim Museum Internship Program is to provide practical training experience to\u00a0undergraduate and graduate students\u00a0interested in pursuing careers in the arts and museum fields. Interns gain a broad understanding of how a\u00a0particular department functions\u00a0within the context of a major museum, as well as specific\u00a0knowledge and\u00a0skills related to that department\u2019s activities. Interns are assigned\u00a0to one department for the duration of their training,\u00a0based on\u00a0qualifications and\u00a0interest. Under the supervision of designated staff mentors, interns complete individual projects,\u00a0attend meetings,\u00a0and\u00a0participate in\u00a0ongoing conversations and processes within their department.<\/p>\n<p>For a\u00a0list of departments that offer internships, please see:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.guggenheim.org\/internships\/internship-departments\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">www.guggenheim.org\/internships\/internship-departments<\/a>.\u00a0Please note that not all departments offer internships every cycle.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Museum Culture Seminars\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Museum Culture Seminars\u202f(MCS)\u00a0are\u00a0weekly\u00a0sessions that allow interns from different departments to come together to learn and connect.\u00a0MCS include presentations by Guggenheim staff and other arts professionals, as well as discussions of current issues and trends within the field. In addition to professional development, the goal of MCS is to build community as a cohort and create an opportunity for social interaction among interns. MCS will be held via Zoom every Friday morning Eastern Time (ET) throughout the internship period.\u00a0Attendance each week is mandatory.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Eligibility Requirements\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Candidates must have completed at least two years of undergraduate studies.
