This position reports primarily to the Jewelry\/Metals and Sculpture Studios Manager. The primary responsibility is the administering of access card orientations &amp; tests for jewelry\/metals artists. The coordinator will need to assist students in determining their level of proficiency as part of the access procedure. Must be able to clearly communicate technical information to Access Users while maintaining a safe studio environment. Black, Indigenous &amp; People of Color (BIPoC) are encouraged to apply.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities<\/strong><br \/>\n\u25cf Schedule Access Orientation &amp; Tests at Pratt in timely manner<br \/>\n\u25cf Perform Access Orientations &amp; Tests for new Access Users<br \/>\n\u25cf Track Hours &amp; Forms for Access Users<br \/>\n\u25cf Strong organizational skills<\/p>\n<p><strong>Minimum Qualifications<\/strong><br \/>\n\u25cf Prior experience teaching metal smithing classes and workshops<br \/>\n\u25cf Broad knowledge of wood-related topics, trends, processes, and skills<br \/>\n\u25cf Familiarity with the Central Area, local arts organizations, or related institutions<br \/>\n\u25cf Experience in Jewelry Studio or Shop Setting<br \/>\n\u25cf Competence in serving diverse populations<br \/>\n\u25cf Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion<\/p>\n<p><strong>Preferred Qualities<\/strong><br \/>\n\u25cf Bilingual<br \/>\n\u25cf Responsible &amp; Puts Safety First<br \/>\n\u25cf Experience Teaching or Mentoring<\/p>\n<p><strong>Compensation:<\/strong> $32\/hr. *starting November 2021.
