{"id":5457,"date":"2022-03-21T16:43:12","date_gmt":"2022-03-21T23:43:12","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/depts.washington.edu\/advis104\/?p=5457"},"modified":"2022-03-21T16:43:12","modified_gmt":"2022-03-21T23:43:12","slug":"chihuly-garden-glass-seeks-gallery-attendant","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/depts.washington.edu\/advis104\/2022\/03\/21\/chihuly-garden-glass-seeks-gallery-attendant\/","title":{"rendered":"Chihuly Garden &#038; Glass seeks Gallery Attendant"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Center Art LLC, managed by the Space Needle LLC, is partnering with Chihuly Studio to operate the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chihulygardenandglass.com\/\">Chihuly Garden and Glass Exhibition<\/a> on the Seattle Center grounds next to the Space Needle.<\/p>\n<p>GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY:<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0Gallery Attendant\u00a0Flex Representative\u00a0supports\u00a0Center Art\u2019s\u00a0organization mission, vision and values by exhibiting the following behaviors: excellence, competence, collaboration, innovation, respect, personalization, accountability and ownership.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0Gallery Attendant Flex Rep\u00a0is responsible for meeting or surpassing the\u00a0expectations of every\u00a0Guest\u00a0by\u00a0providing a friendly, safe, efficient,\u00a0and\u00a0engaging experience while\u00a0engaging with\u00a0Guests throughout the exhibition.\u00a0 Duties\u00a0include\u00a0maintaining\u00a0and\u00a0controlling\u00a0an even flow of all visitors, advancing\u00a0Guest\u2019s knowledge and answering questions, and maintaining a clean, safe, positive environment for all Chihuly Garden and\u00a0Guest\u00a0Team\u00a0Members,\u00a0Guests, and art.<\/p>\n<p>PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:<\/p>\n<p>We Innovate, Be Iconic<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Approach the experience through the lens of the\u00a0Guests and apply our Brand filters.<\/li>\n<li>Actively involve the\u00a0Guests in the unbiased interpretation of the art, show sensitivity to\u00a0Guest\u2019s learning styles and interpretation of the art.<\/li>\n<li>Lead guided tours of the Chihuly Garden and Glass Exhibit.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain working knowledge of all Chihuly Garden and Glass Exhibition policies and procedures.<\/li>\n<li>Share information and educate our\u00a0Guests regarding the Dale Chihuly and his Art.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide information about all areas of the Chihuly Garden and Glass Exhibition, other attractions, Seattle and the surrounding area.<\/li>\n<li>Any other responsibilities defined by management.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We Create our Future. Today<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Promote a clean, positive, courteous, and professional attitude and appearance to all Chihuly Garden and Glass Exhibition\u00a0Team\u00a0Members and\u00a0Guests.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Be a communications specialist:\u00a0 interface with\u00a0Guests in all public facing areas along the\u00a0Guest\u00a0journey.\u00a0 Greet and converse with\u00a0Guests in a friendly and outgoing manner.<\/li>\n<li>Be an art educator.\u00a0 Share your knowledge with our\u00a0Guests in an engaging way.<\/li>\n<li>Always remain respectful and courteous.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Own It<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Be a safety officer:\u00a0 see something, say something.\u00a0 It\u2019s the responsibility of every\u00a0Team\u00a0Member- own it. Ensure social distancing policies are followed with\u00a0Team\u00a0Members and\u00a0Guests.<\/li>\n<li>Assist in preserving the collections by providing additional security in exhibition areas. Circulate frequently through assigned posts to deter acts of vandalism, theft or negligence and ensure the safety of\u00a0Guests;\u00a0remain alert and watchful at all times.<\/li>\n<li>Know Chihuly Garden and Glass Exhibition emergency and fire\/life\/safety procedures. Reassure the\u00a0Guests in times of emergency and participate as needed in emergency procedures, know lost and found procedures, and communicate using a radio during shift.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Understand and evaluate the\u00a0Guest\u00a0journey, providing insight to daily Gallery experiences during periods of peak visitation.<\/li>\n<li>Assist in opening and closing exhibition department routines including cleaning and sanitizing of the exhibition.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure cleanliness and participate in cleaning of art areas following company policies.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Take Care<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure cleanliness and participate in cleaning of work area and as assigned.<\/li>\n<li>Take steps to ensure proper social distancing between\u00a0Team\u00a0Members and\u00a0Guests.<\/li>\n<li>Incorporate and support initiatives that improve overall health and wellness.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Be Open, Help People Grow<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assist in the ongoing training of fellow\u00a0Team\u00a0Members in the operation in the Gallery Attendant Flex position.<\/li>\n<li>Work successfully with both a diverse\u00a0Team\u00a0and\u00a0Guests.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Work Smarter, Not Harder<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Be intentional in understanding the process, procedures, and systems.\u00a0 Continuously look for opportunities to improve efficiencies, incorporate and share key learnings.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Assist in opening and closing exhibition department routines including cleaning and sanitizing of the exhibition.
