They are effective communicators with an enthusiasm for community building and self-discovery. And they go on to work at the country&#8217;s top organizations (including right here at Seattle Rep).<\/p>\n<p class=\"text-center\">Apprentices undertake responsibilities as members of their teams, contribute ideas, participate in department and staff meetings, and complete projects under the guidance of their supervisors. They also participate in professional workshops and seminars, which provide contact with theater staff, guest artists, and members of the Seattle arts community. Staff members guide the work of each Apprentice to help prepare them for a career in professional theater.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text-center\"><strong>The application deadline for the 2022\/23 PATP is June 16, 2022.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"text-center\">Find information about each of our Apprenticeship options, frequently asked\u00a0and more below.\u00a0Please contact us if you have any questions.<\/p>\n<h5>TERMS<\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li>Duration: Seattle Rep\u2019s\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.seattlerep.org\/plays\/202122-season\/\">2022\/23 Season<\/a>\u00a0runs August 2022 &#8211; June 2023. Apprenticeship\u00a0contract\u00a0start\/end dates will vary by department.\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Directing\/Casting, Directing\/Literary:\u00a0<\/strong>Full-time (40 hours per week) for up to 35 weeks, with some sabbatical time. Weekly hours will vary based on the needs of\u00a0each\u00a0production\u00a0but a minimum of 32 hours per week can be expected. In\u00a0addition,\u00a0a limited amount of overtime\u00a0will be available\u00a0during tech weeks.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Lighting Design, Production Management\u00a0<\/strong><strong>:<\/strong>\u00a0Full-time (40 hours per week) for up to 36 weeks, with some sabbatical time. Weekly hours will vary based on the needs of\u00a0each\u00a0production\u00a0but a minimum of 32 hours per week can be expected. In\u00a0addition,\u00a0a limited amount of overtime\u00a0will be available\u00a0during tech weeks.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Stage Management (2 Positions) :\u00a0<\/strong>Full-time (40 hours per week) for 26 &#8211; 31 weeks, with some sabbatical time. Weekly hours will vary based on the needs of\u00a0each\u00a0production\u00a0but a minimum of 32 hours per week can be expected. In\u00a0addition,\u00a0a limited amount of overtime\u00a0will be available\u00a0during tech weeks.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Props, Paints<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>:<\/strong>\u00a0Full-time (40 hours per week) for 31 weeks, with some sabbatical time. Weekly hours will vary based on the needs of\u00a0each\u00a0production\u00a0but a minimum of 32 hours per week can be expected. In\u00a0addition,\u00a0a limited amount of overtime\u00a0will be available\u00a0during tech weeks.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Development:<\/strong>\u00a0Full-time (40 hours per week) for up to 35 weeks, with some sabbatical time.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Youth Engagement:<\/strong>\u00a0Part-time for up to 39 weeks.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Public Works:\u00a0<\/strong>Part-time for up to 37 weeks.<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Compensation: All Apprenticeships pay $17.27\/hour<\/li>\n<li>Apprentices should expect to work on-site. Some work from home may be offered. Find Seattle Rep&#8217;s evolving COVID safety protocols\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.seattlerep.org\/plan-your-visit\/covid-protocols\/\">here<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Personal days depending on length of engagement.<\/li>\n<li>Some limited availability for housing, for applicants not in the Puget Sound Area.<\/li>\n<li>In addition to hands-on training in their chosen field, Apprentices have the opportunity to participate in:\n<ul>\n<li>Cohort activities to build relationships within the Apprentice class.<\/li>\n<li>Seminars with industry professionals to gain an overview of how departments collaborate at the regional theater level.
