The duration of this internship is generally six months. We are flexible with student schedules during the academic year, and the internship can be used to fulfill school credit. Remote, in-office, and hybrid work are possible.<\/p>\n<p>We are looking for visual storytellers with an understanding of typography, color theory, and a passion for impactful design. Conceptual thinkers who bring humor and an appropriate level of irreverence to their work will do well here.<\/p>\n<p>Depending on skill level, art intern opportunities may include page design and layout, photo research, spot illustration, photography and photo adjustment, participating in team brainstorming meetings, and assisting with some administrative tasks.<\/p>\n<p>When interns have proved successful on smaller art assignments, they will have the opportunity to contribute to, or design projects for publication online and\/or in print. We want our interns to walk away with strong clips that they have earned.<\/p>\n<h5><strong>Responsibilities<\/strong><\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li>Design for website and print publication<\/li>\n<li>Assist art directors with photo research and shoot production<\/li>\n<li>Uploading art to website and proofing print pages<\/li>\n<li>Creating original photography and\/or illustration (collage or digital illustration skills are a plus)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5><strong>Qualifications<\/strong><\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li>Background in graphic design, photography, or illustration<\/li>\n<li>Working knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite and Mac OS X<\/li>\n<li>Ability to jump between often disparate tasks<\/li>\n<li>Strong attention to detail<\/li>\n<li>Deadline oriented<\/li>\n<li>Independent and self-motivated<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5><strong>Compensation<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>$17.27\u00a0per hour and can be used to fulfill school credit.<\/p>\n<h5><strong>How to Apply<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>We accept applications on a rolling basis for all terms (winter, spring, summer, fall).\u00a0Applications will be accepted until the spot is filled.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Email\u00a0the following<\/strong>: a cover letter that indicates your desired term or start date (for example, \u201cfall\u201d or \u201cSeptember 22\u201d), a resume, three references, and links or pdfs of design samples (print layout, website design, photo-illustration, photography, illustration).
