Adaptive Recreation Creative Arts Assistant<\/b><\/p>\n

Hours:<\/b>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Tuesday and Thursday<\/p>\n

9:30am – Noon<\/p>\n

5 hours per week<\/p>\n

Program Runs September 13, 2022 – June 8, 2023<\/p>\n

Salary:<\/b>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 $16.00 hour<\/p>\n

Opens:<\/b>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 August 12, 2022<\/p>\n

Closes:\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/b>When filled<\/p>\n

Duties:<\/b><\/p>\n

Under the direction of the Adaptive and Youth\/Teen Manager and Program Coordinator, assist Art\u2019s instructor and help participants with a variety of weekly creative arts programs for participants ages 13 – 100 with developmental and\/or physical disabilities.<\/p>\n

Minimum Qualifications:<\/b><\/p>\n

Must be at least 18 years of age. Applicants are subject to a position relevant background check.\u00a0 Other requirements include three personal and\/or work references.<\/p>\n

Preferred Qualifications:\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

One (1) year or more of experience working with youth and adults with and without disabilities in recreation, teaching or day camp environment; knowledge of age appropriate art activities for participants between 13-100 years old with developmental and\/or physical disabilities; Ability to live by Kent Parks mission of “Dedicated to Enriching Lives” and demonstrate the following characteristics: responsible, respectful, honest, energetic, passionate, flexible, original, creative, dependable, thoughtful. Have basic arts and craft skills.<\/p>\n

WORKING CONDITIONS:\u00a0<\/b>Work is performed in a community center\/indoor facility with a large volume of customers, noisy environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.<\/p>\n
