The Stroum Jewish Community Center seeks summer camp staff.<\/h1>\n

J Camp counselors work in teams to create meaningful, fun, and safe experiences for kids all summer. Together with dozens of your peers, you will develop leadership and problem-solving skills; learn how to empower, motivate, and coach others; and have an excellent time doing so!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

You\u2019ll start the summer with first aid\/CPR training, and an introduction to youth programming, positive discipline, and guidance on how to plan and run activities\u2014setting you up for your role as a teacher, mentor, and professional camp staffer. During J Camp, your days will be filled with swimming, arts & crafts, waterfront activities, singing, and opportunities to create engaging games and activities for your own cohort.<\/p>\n

Throughout your summer you\u2019ll build confidence, find creative solutions to new challenges, and build strong ties to your peers and the rest of the SJCC team. As a place that welcomes everyone, working at J Camp is an outstanding way to contribute, grow, and earn money all summer long!<\/p>\n

The Waterfront Coordinator plans and executed boating activities for campers of varying ages at J Camp\u2019s waterfront. Applicants should be strong swimmers and willing to get Waterfront Lifeguard certified (through the SJCC) if they are not already. Pay starts at $16.50 per hour.
