The Get Engaged program places individuals ages 18-29 on the City of Seattle\u2019s boards and commissions. Get Engaged board members\u00a0serve a one-year term as fully vested and voting members starting in September. Acting in an advisory capacity to the Mayor and City Council, board members\u00a0help shape policy decisions, make recommendations, and provide citizen participation in city government. Started in 2001, Get Engaged is dedicated to cultivating the next generation of leaders and advocating for the influence of young voices in city affairs.<\/p>\n

Applications for the 2023-2024 year will be accepted until\u00a0Friday, May 12th<\/sup>\u00a0at 11:59pm.<\/p>\n
