Seattle Co-Arts was founded primarily to encourage creativity and develop originality in dedicated artists.<\/p>\n<p>In 1988, Seattle Co-Arts honored its founding President by voting to award annual art scholarships to deserving student artists who are currently engaged in furthering their art education towards a career.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To be considered, applicants<strong> must be<\/strong> currently enrolled in a comprehensive 2-to-4-year fine art program with an emphasis on 2-dimensional work and have completed at least one year of that program by June 30, 2023.<\/li>\n<li>The program must be in King, Pierce, or Snohomish County.<\/li>\n<li>Applicants must provide all requested information as well as a resume, letter of recommendation from a current instructor, and five examples of your completed 2-dimensional, hand created fine artwork.<\/li>\n<li>The scholarship recipient will be expected to attend (via Zoom) an interview session and our organization\u2019s June 28th Zoom meeting to accept the award.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you have questions or difficulties submitting the application form, please contact the Scholarship Chair at <a href=\"mailto:scholarship@seattlecoarts.com\">scholarship@seattlecoarts.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Application Process Opens \u2013 February 15, 2023<br \/>\nApplication Process Closes \u2013 <strong>May 13, 2023<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>You can apply <a href=\"https:\/\/seattlecoarts.com\/scholarship\/\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Organized in 1949 with Margaret Mattocks as its founding President, Seattle Co-Arts was incorporated as a non-profit organization in 1950.
