The Garden of Ideas<\/span><\/span>\u00a0staff wish <\/span>you a<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>pleasant start to your <\/span>fall <\/span>quarter.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

We are now actively looking for both academic and creative submissions for our <\/span>Fall <\/span>2023 issue. We hope you consider submitting and look forward to viewing your work!<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

\u00a0<\/span>O<\/span>ur journal is open to both philosophy and non-philosophy majors in an effort to publish<\/span>\u00a0students\u2019<\/span>\u00a0ideas on a broad range of topics. We adopt a highly inclusive definition of philosophy that welcomes endless ways of portraying philosophical ideas. Examples of possible work styles to submit include:<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 –Academic essays<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 –Creative writing (e.g., short stories and poetry)<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0–Visual art (eg., drawings and photography)<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u00a0<\/span>Submissions are due Sunday, <\/span>October <\/span>29th at 11:59pm and can be submitted via email<\/span><\/span>\u00a0to gardenofideas@uw.edu. Be sure to include your name and contact information, as well as anything else you\u2019d like us to know about your work. <\/span>If <\/span>your submission is selected to be published in the upcoming issue, we will contact you. <\/span>Our journal isn\u2019t possible without your submissions. <\/span>Join us in<\/span>\u00a0showcas<\/span>ing<\/span>\u00a0the best thinkers and artists on campus.
