\nRequired<\/em>
\n– Minimum of 5 years fabrication shop experience
\n– Experience operating and maintaining metals and welding\u00a0 equipment (Tig\/ Acetylene).
\n– Experience operating and maintaining wood shop equipment and power tools.
\n– Experience operating and maintaining air compressors and related tools.
\n– Understanding of the environmentally safe procedure of disposing of potentially toxic materials
\n– Broader construction knowledge\/experience
\n– Candidate is self-motivated, reliable, trustworthy and attentive to timely task completion and enjoys
\nworking in a creative environment while learning and developing new processes.
\n– Strong organizational and time management skills including the ability to multitask, prioritize, and independently manage varied assignments.
\n– Basic computer proficiency.
\n– Follows all necessary safety measures and guidelines in all working processes.
\n– Proficient in exercising discretion and confidentiality.<\/p>\n
\n– Mount making experience
\n– Knowledge of wood properties & milling processes: air drying\/green wood\/kiln drying
\n– Pattern\/mold making experience (plaster and silicone)
\n– Metal casting processes and experience
\n– Art handling, storing, shipping, and installing artwork
\n– Plating, polishing, patinas and metalsmithing skills
\n– Knowledge of environmentally sound materials and processes in a wood\/metal shop<\/p>\n
\n– Must be able to traverse all areas of the studio including walking, climbing, reaching, bending, crawling, or stretching.
\n– Ability to carry & move heavy objects up to 50 pounds.
\n– Ability to safely operate mobile elevated work platforms (Skyjack), shop production equipment, power and hand tools.
\n– Ability to work on-site, in shared indoor and outdoor space with staff following guidelines in accordance with the health department and local ordinances.<\/p>\n
\nStarting at 32\/hrs up to possibly 40\/hrs per week, Monday-Thursday.
\nStarting pay is $22-$28 an hour depending on skills assessed during a training period at the studio.
\n60-day trial period, after which there are additional benefits.
