{"id":7340,"date":"2025-03-03T14:12:12","date_gmt":"2025-03-03T22:12:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/depts.washington.edu\/advis104\/?p=7340"},"modified":"2025-03-03T14:12:18","modified_gmt":"2025-03-03T22:12:18","slug":"uw-department-of-statistic-seeks-event-photographer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/depts.washington.edu\/advis104\/2025\/03\/03\/uw-department-of-statistic-seeks-event-photographer\/","title":{"rendered":"UW Department of Statistics seeks Event Photographer"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Description:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Department of Statistics is seeking a UW Student Photographer who will be able to take high-quality and high-resolution photographs of the department graduation that will be happening on Friday, June 13, 2025, between 10:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. at a UW campus location in Seattle, WA.<\/p>\n<p>The student photographer will mainly be taking photographs on the day of the graduation ceremony, however, they will be expected to collaborate with the event coordinator to understand specific photography needs and expectations for the event.<\/p>\n<p>This position will be compensated for a total amount of $600 as a one-time payment via Workday.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Knowledge of photography techniques. Has an ability to exhibit a good balance of creativity and technical expertise.<br \/>\n\u2022 Ability to kneel, crouch, bend, walk, stand, and sit for long periods.<br \/>\n\u2022 Proficient with photo production equipment and photo editing software (i.e. Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, or similar software).<br \/>\n\u2022 Ability to demonstrate excellent leadership, customer service, and communication skills.<br \/>\n\u2022 Experience as an event photographer is highly desired but not required.<br \/>\n\u2022 Must have their own photo production equipment (i.e. digital SLR camera would be desired) and photo editing software (i.e. Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, or similar software).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application instruction:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Applicants should submit the following:<br \/>\n\u2022 CV\/Resume<br \/>\n\u2022 Cover Letter<br \/>\n\u2022 Photography portfolio*<br \/>\nNote*: The portfolio should contain 10-15 samples of high-quality and high-resolution photographs via a PDF or Google Drive\/OneDrive link.
