Each year, we also host UW\u2019s only annual UX conference.<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019re currently recruiting officers for our 2025\u20132026 leadership team \u2014 including a\u00a0<strong>Design Officer<\/strong>\u00a0role \u2014 and would love your help in sharing this opportunity with students in the Art + Design department who may be interested! Please don\u2019t hesitate to let me know if there is someone else I can reach out to regarding this as well.\u00a0<u><\/u><u><\/u><\/p>\n<p><strong>Design Officer \u2013 Responsibilities:<\/strong><u><\/u><u><\/u><\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>Lead all visual design work for WiUX branding and events<u><\/u><u><\/u><\/li>\n<li>Create graphics for social media, slides, posters, and event promotions<u><\/u><u><\/u><\/li>\n<li>Develop and maintain a cohesive conference visual identity and style guide<u><\/u><u><\/u><\/li>\n<li>Design shirts, stickers, banners, and other merchandise<u><\/u><u><\/u><\/li>\n<li>[Optional] Animate visual assets (e.g., for conference motion graphics)<u><\/u><u><\/u><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Skills Required:<\/strong><u><\/u><u><\/u><\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>Proficiency in\u00a0<strong>Figma<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Adobe Illustrator<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Photoshop<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>After Effects<\/strong><u><\/u><u><\/u><\/li>\n<li>Strong visual craft and an eye for typography, layout, and branding<u><\/u><u><\/u><\/li>\n<li>Ability to work within and evolve a cohesive visual system<u><\/u><u><\/u><\/li>\n<li>Portfolio of strong design work (even class or personal projects!)<u><\/u><u><\/u><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In addition to the Design Officer, we\u2019re also looking for students to fill other roles on our team, including website, marketing, PR, and junior officer positions.
