If it\u2019s a great fit and we have the hours, we may be able to extend a full time position.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-rte-preserve-empty=\"true\">Like to talk to people and like art? We might have the perfect job for you.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-rte-preserve-empty=\"true\"><strong>The Ideal Applicant:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul data-rte-list=\"default\">\n<li>\n<p class=\"\" data-rte-preserve-empty=\"true\">is an outgoing, friendly person, who is able to talk to a few hundred people a day (if you are shy or not talkative, this will not be a good position for you)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"\" data-rte-preserve-empty=\"true\">is excited about art and the Seattle art scene (a lot of our staff are also artists at our shop!)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"\" data-rte-preserve-empty=\"true\">has great communication and customer service skills<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"\" data-rte-preserve-empty=\"true\">must be able to work at least one weekend day<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"\" data-rte-preserve-empty=\"true\">is punctual<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"\" data-rte-preserve-empty=\"true\">has a positive, welcoming attitude<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"\" data-rte-preserve-empty=\"true\">able to work well with a team<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"\" data-rte-preserve-empty=\"true\">Must be at least 18 years old<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"\" data-rte-preserve-empty=\"true\"><strong>Job tasks include:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul data-rte-list=\"default\">\n<li>\n<p class=\"\" data-rte-preserve-empty=\"true\">Selling merchandise and introducing customers to the different artists and products we carry<\/p>\n<ul data-rte-list=\"default\">\n<li>\n<p class=\"\" data-rte-preserve-empty=\"true\">We have a sales training program and product training program<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"\" data-rte-preserve-empty=\"true\">Talking to and getting to know our customers<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"\" data-rte-preserve-empty=\"true\">Creating a friendly, positive environment for both customers and fellow teammates<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"\" data-rte-preserve-empty=\"true\">Folding, tagging, and sku-ing inventory<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"\" data-rte-preserve-empty=\"true\">Light cleaning (vacuuming, mopping, dusting, etc)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"\" data-rte-preserve-empty=\"true\">Creating buttons, magnets, craft kits, and more<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"\" data-rte-preserve-empty=\"true\">At our Magnolia location, job tasks will also include instructing and assisting customers of all ages and abilities with art projects<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"\" data-rte-preserve-empty=\"true\">This job requires you to stand for the majority of your shift. We have anti-fatigue mats, but you will be walking around helping customers, so it is important to wear comfortable shoes.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-rte-preserve-empty=\"true\"><strong>What we offer:<br \/>\n<\/strong>Pay is $21.50\/hr with paid sick leave, with opportunities for raises once sales training has been completed. We offer a regular, consistent schedule. For staff working 30+ hours, we also offer great health insurance (including dental and vision) which is available after 60 days of employment. We offer 401k, with employer matching too after 6 months of employment. Employees also receive a 20% discount, and 2 free shirts. Our breakroom has snacks, coffee, tea, and other goodies. We do monthly team\/sales competitions that often include winning free products, food around the Pike Place Market, PTO, or bonuses.
