UWAA Member Raises $1.5 Million for Cancer Patients

December 6th, 2013 by Greg Flanders

Glassybaby founder (and UWAA Member) Lee Rhodes started working with glass as a way to seek serenity during her seven-year battle with cancer. Teaming up with local glass blowers, Rhodes opened glassybaby’s first retail store in 2003.

Since then, glassybaby has raised more than $1.5 million for charities dedicated to healing. This December, glassybaby will donate 10% from online sales of “dream” and 10% of all sales from their U-Village store to the White Light Fund, which benefits UW Medical Center programs like the Collegiana and the Living Well with Cancer Series.
