Description

Liver transplant anesthesia fellowship training program is to train future academic leaders in liver transplant anesthesia. This is a one-year non-ACGME accredited fellowship training program in Anesthesiology and there is(are) 1-2 position(s) each year. In this unique fellowship, fellows split their time between working as the liver transplant anesthesia fellow and serving on faculty as an attending as clinical instructor in the general OR. The fellowship prepares candidates for leadership positions in transplant centers and fulfills criteria required to become Director of Liver Transplant Anesthesia as put forward by the American Society of Anesthesiologist (ASA).

Clinical Experience

  • As per standard Department of Anesthesiology & Pain Medicine practice for faculty fellows
  • 2-3 days/week as attending in OR with additional specified call commitment

The application process for all the faculty fellowships requires that interested applicants send the following information:

  • Current Curriculum Vitae
  • Application for Faculty Fellowship
  • Letter of intent/personal statement
  • Copy of medical school diploma
  • Copy of anesthesia degree (if applicable)
  • Current medical license
  • USMLE all three steps
  • ECFMG documentation (if applicable)
  • Documentation supporting citizenship status (if applicable)
  • H1B Visa holder or eligible (if applicable
