Astrobiology Areas of Interest: Exoplanets: Detection, Habitability, & Biosignatures
Russell works on models of the dynamics of exoplanets in multi-planet systems, particularly those with high eccentricity and high mutual-inclination, in order to understand how planet-planet interactions may affect habitability. His goals are to develop fast computational methods of determining the important interactions between planets and to link these to simple energy balance models for climate. He loves the ocean, clouds, algebra, books, sleeping in, and cats.
