She then worked as a systems engineer at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory for 2 years where I enjoyed designing and researching a number of projects such as the Europa Lander, Mars Sample Return, Mars 2020, and much more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kimberly is now working with David Catling and Tim Elam at the intersection of Martian spectroscopy and the co-evolution of life with its environment. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In her free time you can find her figure skating, mountaineering, making music, or cooking<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Kimberly graduated from the University of Michigan with degrees in astronomy, physics, and philosophy in 2017.
