Aerial hammock combines technique from trapeze and aerial silks to create a unique set of vocabulary in the air. In this beginner-level course, students will build strength and learn basic aerial hammock technique including wraps, locks and drops. Conditioning exercises for the core and upper body will also be included in each class. No previous dance training or aerial experience required, but participants should be physically fit, with a fair amount of upper body and hand strength. Aerial hammock is less strenuous than aerial silks, and is a great way to begin aerial arts training. West Seattle.
