Charlotte Powell

Charlotte has been joyfully studying yoga and meditation for over 10 years. Her journey through Iyengar, Ashtanga, Anusara, and more traditional Hatha Yoga has led her to study and practice with master teachers in Northern California, Europe, and all over Asia.

She received extensive formal Hatha Yoga training in the foothills of the Indian Himalayas, and is certified to teach through the International Yoga Alliance. She has immersed herself fully in the philosophy and lifestyle through living in traditional Yoga ashrams. Her themed multi-level yoga classes emphasize clarity, compassion, and living with an open heart – offering a practice that integrates the mental, physical, and spiritual aspects of yoga. Helping students to find a way to integrate yoga into their lives, not just through the physical practice, but through their way of being.

Charlotte also holds a post-graduate degree from HSU as a credentialed K-12 school teacher. Her love for working with children brought her to the World Family Yoga, where she received training in Yoga for Children. She always loves to find creative ways to bring yoga into the classroom for both little kids and “big” kids.

As a long-time student and practitioner of Ayurveda, Charlotte is also deeply passionate about nutrition, health, and personal well-being, and how this ancient knowledge can compliment and enhance our yoga practice today.
