Anna Zemke has been studying dance for the past 18 years. During that time, she has performed in Seattle, San Francisco, and New York. She recently performed in Jennifer Salk’s work A Small Piece of the Story in the UW Faculty Dance Concert as well as Patrie in José Limón’s Dances for Isadora. Her own choreographic work was presented in the 2013 UW Dance Majors Concert. She grew up in Seattle studying at Dance Fremont under the direction of Vivian Little and Mary Reardon. In summers she has studied at Alonzo King’s Lines Ballet, Ballet Austin, and North Carolina School of the Arts. She spent two years at SUNY Purchase Conservatory of Dance before coming to the University of Washington were she received a Bachelor of Arts with majors in biochemistry and dance.
