Genevieve Hathaway is a travel photographer whose passion for archaeology, mountaineering, conservation and preservation of modern cultural heritage has taken her across the Middle East, Southern and Central Asia, and Australia. A family trip to Europe at a young age introduced Genevieve to the diverse cultures and powerful stories she could tell with her camera. Inspired by what she saw and experienced, Genevieve then went on to spend a decade and a half traveling, working and photographing across 5 continents. For over a decade, Genevieve has lived, worked and traveled in the Middle East. Most recently, during the height of the Arab Spring she lived in Cairo, Egypt on Tahrir Square completing a project, called War on Walls, documenting the Arab Spring street art. She loves sharing her passion for this interesting region and helping fellow travelers travel smarter and better in the Middle East.
