Dr. J M Anderson’s Academy of Operative Dentistry Student Travel Awards

Academy of Operative Dentistry Student Travel Awards are given to help graduating senior students gain the experience and exposure that comes from attending and/or presenting at Academy of Operative Dentistry. The travel awards are intended to help students defray some of the costs of their attendance. The Restorative Department establishes this fund to honor Dr.
J M Anderson, a longtime member and past officer of the Academy, whose excellence in restorative dentistry is an inspiration to our faculty and students.
The successful candidates are selected by their commitment to organized dentistry and interests in Operative Dentistry. We will also look at their teaching assistance in Operative courses and other Restorative classes, past performance in our Operative Dentistry courses and related research activities. In the previous years we were able to grant $900 travel allowance
to cover airfare and registration fee for five students. It is the hope that we can support more students in the future.
The purpose of officially naming this travel award is to make sure that we can replenish the funds and support student travels more consistently. Also, this is to ensure that donations to this fund will be used specifically to benefit the students directly. All donors will receive a yearly report and thanks from the participating students 2023 applications are now open. Please use the form below to apply for the funds.
Further inquires should be directed to Dr Alireza Sadr, Department of Restorative Dentistry.
