2020 Howard Competition and 2020 AGD ePoster Competition. Only UWSOD AGD members are eligible to compete.<\/p>\n

This competition is open to any University of Washington School of Dentistry AGD Chapter Members. 1st<\/sup>, 2nd<\/sup>, 3rd<\/sup>\u00a0and 4th<\/sup>\u00a0Year UWSOD AGD members may enter clinical cases, research projects or any topic of interest for consideration in the 2020 William Howard Competition.<\/p>\n

Howard Case selection is at the sole discretion of the student with guidance from clinical instructors and mentors. Case selection criteria should not be based on the number of units, but the quality of the case.\u00a0Students may enter clinical cases, research projects or any topic of interest from basic science to Oral Medicine.<\/u><\/p>\n

Clinical cases must demonstrate proper treatment planning, sequencing, and execution of procedures.<\/p>\n

Suggested before and after photographs could include:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. *1:10 facial head picture and profile picture<\/li>\n
  2. *Mirror pictures of the complete upper and lower arches.<\/li>\n
  3. *Lip pictures of smile and lip at rest<\/li>\n
  4. *1:2 retracted anterior teeth closed and open<\/li>\n
  5. *1:2 mirror posterior right and left<\/li>\n
  6. *1:1 retracted centered on centrals (if relevant)<\/li>\n
  7. *1:1 retracted centered on laterals (if relevant)<\/li>\n
  8. *Additional pictures should be included if they are relevant to explaining the case.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    \nCase presentations at the Washington Academy of General Dentistry MasterTrack Protocol Session.
    \nFirst prize: $1,000, second prize: $750, third prize: $500 and fourth prize: $250.<\/p>\n

    \nTop presenters from the 2020 William Howard Competition will be invited to present.

    \nWe will help all students that participate in the 2020 Howard Competition, to submit and hopefully be selected to present in Nevada.
    \nThe UWSOD AGD Student Chapter is working on support for travel and accommodations to for any of our students that are selected.<\/p>\n

    Please submit your intent to participate in the 2020 Howard Competition to Dr. Hess no later than April 15, 2020.
    \nPresentations should be no longer than 12 minutes with 3 minutes for questions.
