Robyn Long, MA, E-RYT

Robyn is a full time staff member at CCFW. She works on our community outreach and dissemination efforts for our mindfulness and compassion programs, develops protocols for our studies and facilitates groups, and collaborates with partner organizations to co-create and implement staff resilience programs. She has been teaching meditation and yoga for since 2009 in a variety of community and clinical settings in the US, Canada, India, and the Middle East. As a sampling of her past experiences, she developed a yoga program for children with cancer and their families at the Alberta Children’s Hospital and a mindfulness-based relaxation program for Syrian human rights workers and children and youth who had sought refuge in Turkey. 

Robyn has completed advanced yoga and meditation teacher training programs under the guidance of Sir TKV Desikachar at the Krishnamacharya Healing Yoga Foundation in India, The New England School of Integrative Yoga Therapeutics, and Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction for Teens. She also has specialized training in yoga for cancer patients, yoga for children, trauma sensitive yoga, and prenatal and postnatal yoga. Robyn has a MA in International Development & Community Planning and she speaks Arabic and French.
