Band Saw Safety procedures		The band saw is used mostly for cutting curves, circles, and irregular shapes. It can also be used for making straight cuts. Band saws use a thin, flexible, continuous steel blade with cutting teeth on one edge (a band of steel). This continuous blade runs between two wheels. One wheel is above the table and the other wheel is below the table. The table can be tilted to cut different angles.
