Jointer Safety procedures		A jointer is a machine used to straighten, smooth, square up and size boards. Wood should be processed with a jointer before you begin any project. A circular cutterhead holds three knives. When wood passes over the cutterhead, it is cut by the knives. Tables are located on each side of the cutterhead. The height of the tables can be adjusted depending on the type of cut you want to make.
