Miter Saw Safety procedures		Compound miter saw These saws are sometimes also called “chop saws.” Compound miter saws can cut two angled surfaces at the same time (a compound angle). That means that a miter can be cut across the face of the board and, at the same time, a bevel can be cut on the end.Sliding compound miter saw Sliding compound miter saw A sliding compound miter saw can do everything done by a regular compound miter saw, but, because of its sliding feature, it can do more. The sliding feature allows you to cut stock that is wider and thicker than what an ordinary compound miter saw can cut.
