Sander Safety procedures Practice quiz		There are several types of power sanders, such as belt, disc, edge ,and strip sanders. The two most commonly used sanders are belt and disc sanders. A disc sander is a round plate that has a sanding disc mounted to it. A motor rotates the disc. While the disc is rotating, your project is placed on the table and pressed against the downward moving side of the rotating disc. A belt sander can be used in a vertical, horizontal or slanted position.
