Stephen I. Miller (1918-23) is named the second dean of the renamed College of Economics and Business Administration. Miller, the future educational director of the American Institute of Banking, leads the College to unprecedented growth from its humble founding; enrollment tops 1,350 by 1920. He also fosters close collaboration with the burgeoning business community, forming advisory boards in foreign trade, banking, merchant marine, management, and insurance. After stepping down as dean, Miller becomes educational director of the American Institute of Banking.
