We are all excited to celebrate your achievement at the LSJ convocation.  LSJ Convocation will happen on Wednesday, June 7th at 3:30pm in Kane Hall Room 130. Reception to follow.

Hello Graduating Seniors, We write to invite you to the LSJ Convocation Ceremony honoring the Class of 2023! Students who have either graduated in Summer 2022, Autumn 2022, Winter 2023, or have applied to graduate in Spring 2023 or Summer 2023 are eligible to participate. Further correspondence will be sent only to students who have applied to graduate. If you are planning to graduate in Spring or Summer 2023 and have not yet applied to graduate, please do so with an LSJ Adviser ASAP as the deadline is Friday, April 14th. CEREMONY INFORMATION AND RSVP FORM We are all excited to celebrate your achievements at the LSJ Convocation Ceremony and Reception. The LSJ Convocation Ceremony will take place on Wednesday, June 7, 2023 in Kane Hall 130 beginning at 3:30pm PST. Graduating students will begin checking in at 2:45pm and doors will open for friends and family beginning at 3:00pm. The ceremony will last around 90 minutes with a reception to follow. The reception will have light refreshments available and LSJ swag available for purchase. Attire: Business casual, students are not required to wear caps and gowns Please RSVP here if you plan to attend: Form will be available soon Deadline to RSVP is SUNDAY, May 7th @ 11:59pm. TICKETS In addition to your RSVP, you will need to order tickets for all attendees you plan to invite. Note: each student can request a maximum of five (5) guest tickets for the ceremony and reception using the ticketing link. Graduating LSJ seniors are not required to secure tickets for themselves – that is the purpose of the RSVP form. By the week of May 29th, we will know if there is space for additional guests. In the case of multiple requests, earlier RSVP's will have priority. Students who have requested additional tickets will be contacted with further instructions on how to claim them. Order tickets here: Form will be available soon Deadline to order tickets is SUNDAY, May 14th @ 11:59pm. ACCOMMODATIONS In the RSVP Form, there is a question that asks you to identify any accommodations that you OR ONE OF YOUR GUESTS might need (i.e. ramp to stage, closed captioning, interpreter, wheelchair accessibility, etc.) Please make sure to connect with your guests PRIOR to filling out the RSVP form to ensure we have adequate time to support all accommodation needs. FERPA If you have a FERPA block on your account, meaning you have told the University that your name may not be shared in public spaces, such as websites and events like Convocation, and you would like your name included in the Convocation Program, please fill out the LSJ Convocation FERPA Release Form to let us know. If you are unsure whether or not you have a FERPA block on your account, please email lsjadv@uw.edu. HONORS Special honor cords, if awarded, may be worn by undergraduate students who have earned baccalaureate honors (Cum laude, Magna Cum Laude, Summa Cum Laude). Baccalaureate honors are determined by the Registrar based on GPA. For details, contact the Office of the Registrar at ugradoff@uw.edu or 206-543-1803. Ceremonial cords are also available to students completing a curriculum within the University Honors Program: Interdisciplinary Honors, Departmental Honors, or College Honors (Departmental Honors plus Interdisciplinary Honors). For details, contact the Honors Program at uwhonors@uw.edu or 206-543-7444. Students will have the option to purchase honors cords when ordering their graduation regalia.
