If you wish to park on campus, parking permits will be required for this event. Students should purchase these permits for themselves and their guests through the Commencement Registration/Order Form, May 1st to May 19, 2024. Congratulations graduating students from the UW School of Art + Art History + Design!
If you are graduating in Autumn 2023 or Winter, Spring, or Summer of 2024, we want to honor your accomplishments. Please join us at the School’s annual Graduation Celebration in Meany Hall on Saturday, June 8, 2024. Graduating students will receive a formal invitation by email in April 2024.
Seniors, please remember to file your graduation application with an adviser in Art 104. Graduation applications for Spring and Summer quarter must be completed before Friday, April 12.
Tickets and registration: Tickets are required. Graduating students must register online for tickets. Graduating students may request up to five tickets for guests; one ticket will be automatically issued to the student. Registration is open April 18th - May 23rd, 2024.
Festivities: procession of graduating students; welcome from Professor Jamie Walker, Director of the School of Art + Art History + Design; presentation of Graduating and Teaching with Excellence Awards; reflections from students on the class of 2023-24; presentation of certificates to students from the School’s faculty.
Cap and Gown: Traditional commencement attire is encouraged. Caps and gowns may be ordered from the Commencement website in early May.
