What is Lavender Graduation?

Lavender Graduation is an annual recognition event conducted on numerous campuses to honor lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and questioning students, highlighting their achievements and contributions to the University.

Our Celebration

The University of Washington Q Center has held a Lavender Graduation ceremony since 2002.
At this year’s 22nd annual celebration, we will recognize the Class of 2024!!

Join us on Tuesday, June 4th, 2024 5:00-7pm PDT!
5:00pm Doors Open
5:30pm Procession & Program Begins

Event Dress Code: 
Students are encouraged to wear what they feel most comfortable, vibrant, celebratory, and authentic in! Regalia is recommended but not required. Graduates will be presented with a lavender honor cord and certificate of achievement. **This is an all-ages, family friendly event so all guests are advised to dress appropriately in the presence of youth (under 18) attendees as well.**

Ticket Information

- Registration is required of all graduating student participants (ie Lavender Graduates/members of the Class of 2024) - RSVPs are required of all guests, visitors, friends, and family supporters of Lavender Graduates

On Campus Event - special event parking rules apply

If you wish to park on campus, parking permits will be required for this event. Students should purchase these permits for themselves and their guests through the Commencement Registration/Order Form, May 1st to May 19, 2024. Day of parking may be available for additional cost, but lot selection and availability are not guaranteed.
